At the foot of Spiral Mountain was inspired by the symbology of the mountain and mankind’s spiritual journey. Having made the arduous climb up to the temple in the sky the figure returns with the precious jewel of wisdom. Then the hermit carries the sacred globe to light their way in the darkness of the jungle. The original painting 85cm x 69cm was done on Ingres paper using mainly pastel. Numerous people have felt a strong resonance with this picture. A4 print with bevelled mount in textured ivory approx 41cm x 33cm.
